Comments

For a spray applicator, I found a small spray bottle in the cosmetics travel section at Walmart.  It sprays a very fine mist and doesn't disturb the scenic and ballast material when sprayed.  It can be found with the small tubes of tooth paste, soap bars etc used for travel.
