I have enjoyed all  the episodes you have produced so far. One comment I have on this back shop clinic, Is can you shoot before and after close ups of these detail parts ?

That was a great video of this layout and I was interested to see Railroad & Co v Gold 8 software being used as I have the same version of this software from Freiwald. I have to learn how it all works for my UP / BNSF modern image layout I will start building in the summer once I have finished prepping my layout room, but in the meantime I am getting inspiration from watching great trainmaster video's like this one. Please keep showing more of these! A truly great looking layout Greg and Gale, thanks for sharing it with us!

I have a question to ask. How are you using Digitrax signal control SE8c's  with an ESU Command Station as ESU is not loconet supported, do you have an electronc interface for this to work together?

THANK YOU.  THE ESU IS ONLY FOR READING / WRITING CV"s IN BINARY FOR LOCOMOTIVES.  I HAVE FOUND THAT WITH ALL OF THE ELECRONICS ON THE RAILROAD, I FIND THAT WRITING LOCOMOTIVE CV'S IS EASIER USING AN ESU AND PROGRAMMING TRACK.

GREG WHAYMAN

We agree we need to do more before / after closeups - and we will endeavor to do just that in future videos. Great feedback.

I enjoyed the video but the segment on the owner layout did not show enough about the layout to really see their great artistry.  Would like to have seen more.  The second segment on painting metal parts was excellent. I ended up learing a great technique, but your camera work should have been better.  I could not see much of the detail parts.  I could see him drybrushing, but could not see what was happening to the part.  Please provide better close ups and step by step video on these kinds of segments. I can't learn it properly unless I can see the person doing the work and seeing the results of that work as it is being done.

Great vidoe though.

d-r,

This was our first day of shooting in the studio and everyone involved was pretty new to the process.   I think you will find the Backshop Clinics coming up will show much improvement.  Also, now that people in the hobby have a better understanding of what we are trying to achieve with these clinics there is greater interest from participants, so you can look forward to more variety and frequency very soon.

As far as MyLayout goes, we can only show what layout owners submit.  In Greg and Gail's case, we hope to visit their layout and do a feature story on it once they have more completed.  But in the meantime we are inviting them both to come to the studio this summer to show us some of their techniques.  Stay tuned.
