24:30 - December 2014 Act I - The Aberfoyle Junction (2014)

The Aberfoyle Junction Railway has entertained thousands of visitors for over 40 years.  When the layout lost its home, the Aberfoyle club struggled to find a way to keep the trains on the rails for future generations to enjoy. Also the cover story in the December 2014 issue of Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine.

Also in the December show:
  - Act II: Great soldering tips in The Backshop Clinic
  - Act III: Installing roadbed and fascia on Trevor's modules on The Roadshow
  - Act IV: Laying track on Back to the Basement

Act II: Great soldering tips in The Backshop Clinic ...

Attachment below is a track plan of the Aberfoyle Junction.

This is such a great story  and so far, the best segment I have seen produced, relating to a MRR club history.

This segment should significantly increase visitation to this wonderful layout.  The folks who have poured their effort and imagination into this layout have something to be truly proud of as well as the legacy they will leave behind for so many others.

TMTV can also be very proud of the outstanding job they did making this segment.

Just keeps getting better.

Excellent!  A layout after my own heart.  Just a wonderful story about a fantastic layout, a great group of modellers and what can be accomplished when people come together with a  common goal.  I'm so happy to know this layout was saved from the dumpster and will remain for years to come.  A TrainMasters classic!

Having lived in Guelph for 20 years during the 80s and 90s, the Aberfoyle Junction is a bright light in my memories of modelrailroading in those years.  This layout was at the centre of a very active model railway hobby in the Kitchener - Waterloo region and  to see it surviving and prospering in a new home is heartwarming. The video presentation does justice to the efforts of all involved. It inspires me to return to our old home for a visit with this 'old friend'.

This is a very well done video documenting the story of the Aberfoyle Junction. I've never seen this layout in person but have heard about it over the years. Think this will be a stop on my visit to Ontario next year!

Wonderful episode! I hope to have the oportunity to visit this layout one day.
