Summary:
23:21 - May 2016 Act III - Rick Norris’ Rio Grande Southern (2016)
Description:

Since its creation, the Rio Grande Southern railway struggled to be successful.  The railroad survived far longer than anyone expected and it has become a legend in the eyes of modelers.  On30 modeler Rick Norris identifies with the “can-do” attitude of the people who built it with his rendition of this famous rail line.

What a wonderful story. We have hobbies to relax, and to recharge so we can deal with the rest of our lives. And this really comes through in this layout tour. I really enjoyed Rick's layout and the few shots of the RC airplanes were most impressive, too!

Thanks for sharing his story.

PS: Nice "Deadwood-y" soundtrack too: Now I have to go open a can of peaches.

Building any more modules, Trevor?  I think it's time for an update!  :-)

Wonderful job, both in creating the railroad and taking good care of your wife.  Thanks for sharing!!  Regards, Wayne.

Truly impressive!

I have watched this video a few times and keep returning to it and watching again. The choice of colours and textures not only in the scenery bit in the various structures make this one of the most appealing layouts. Using Joel Bragdon Geodesic materials is really good. The combination of colours on the rocks is just fantastic. And what makes this more impressive is that Rick has never visited Colorado.

An excellent layout in every way..

Thanks
