i was there and thought I had seen everything-nope. Very nice in-depth interviews.

Looking for more about the show then the local railroads. I think that would be a better subject on its own. Not sure how this really related to the show.

It was cool seeing my friend and coworker Brian Sandberg in the video running the TOMA layout at the show. Lucky guy.

Our focus at shows tends to be local in nature, especially when it comes to manufacturers.  Many small manufacturers aren't able to travel across the continent to promote their products, so we hope this is one way to bring them to our viewers.  The same is true of local tourist operations.  The reps from tourist trains operators, railroad attractions and clubs exhibited at the show, so why wouldn't we stop and talk to them?  I hope some of our viewers will be inspired to visit these operations.

When it comes to new products, it seems like anyone with a camera has published photos of what's offered, usually on the same day as the show.  Magazine reports do a good job of listing what the manufacturers have announced.  A photo will suffice when it comes to the latest ready-to-run boxcar, for example.  We lke to go deeper.

As far as model railroads go, we have shown the best of what the Amherst show has offered in three previous reports.  When a new display gets booked in we'll be there to show you more.
